About
Haden Gold is drummer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer currently residing in Queens, NY. For two years, he studied jazz drumming, classical percussion, improvisation, and composition at SUNY at Fredonia. There, he studied under Dr. Kay Stonefelt, Dr. Nick Weiser, Prof. Alec Dube, Alan Ferber, Carmen Intorre Jr., and others. He has also worked with Jordan Rose (Laufey, Theo Katzman), C-Bass Chiriboga (Sammy Rae & The Friends), and Ricky Chilton in Brooklyn, NY. He is currently concluding his undergraduate degree at Queens College.
His latest (and first) project under his own name is a full-length collaborative album with singer/songwriter Miranda Wilcox. The first three singles, Breakup Season, Feels Like Yesterday, and G.P.S. (Gas-Powered Soul) released on streaming everywhere in the summer of 2026. The album, entitled Breakup Season and produced by Nate Wilson, will release later in 2026.
Haden is a founding member and bassist of the Long Island-based funk band WHIZBANG!. An August 2026 recording session yielded six tracks, and will be released on their debut EP in the coming months. He contributed multiple compositions and arrangements to that project, including re-imaginations of previously released original material and innovative takes on classic jazz standards from Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and more.
As a former founding-member of the funk/jazz-fusion band Tetris Effect, he released their debut self-titled record on April 24, 2026. Haden played drums on all 11 tracks and contributed substantially to the composition of the record, including writing both singles Respect and Out of Sight, Out of Mind (With Libby Reed). Tetris Effect is streaming everywhere now.
